Fall 2020 classes will remain online

In accordance to the health guidelines laid out by Alberta Health Services for the COVID-19 pandemic, our classes will remain online for the fall. Singing in groups is considered a high-risk activity and the recommended precautions are not practical for our classes.

Therefore, we will continue making music together from the safety of our homes this fall, bringing the joy of music into your family’s day-to-day life and fostering connection with other families through our interactive live Zoom classes.

I have added a Thursday 6pm Zoom class time this fall to accommodate families who cannot participate in a Friday morning Zoom class.

Here is a picture from our Spring 2020 semester…we ended the semester with a Superheros LIVE class!

Friday 1200

Our online classes include pre-recorded videos posted on Mondays and Wednesdays and an interactive, live Zoom class either Thursday evening or Friday morning.

The pre-recorded videos allow your family to watch the class material at your convenience, when it works best for you and your child, and as many times as you want. The interactive Zoom classes are personalized and allow us to see and hear each other, even if we can’t be in the same room.

If you would like to join us for the fall semester, you can register now. You can see more details about the fall semester here.

If you have any questions about the Music Together program or our fall semester, please call me or send me an e-mail (cfluet@ualberta.net or 780-485-2332).

p.s. Not all screen time is equal, so if you’re wondering about the benefits of an online class for your little one, rest assured that our online classes are an interactive experience for you and your child, not a passive viewing experience. And what you and your little one take away from our online classes will lead to musical play throughout the week and start them on their lifelong musical journey.
